Samir majored in Editing and Special Effects at Institut Spécialisé dans les Métiers de Cinéma - ISMC Ouarzazate, before going on to receive his Licence Professionelle Écriture et Analyse Cinématographiques et Audiovisuelles from Université Ibn Zohr. Samir El Atchi is the founder and creative director of Soulima Productions, and its subsidiary, Tiger Films, where he has assembled a team of talented professionals. In addition to his management duties, he continues to write, direct, and produce commercials for a variety of the company’s international clients. Samir has worked in the film industry as director, producer, and art director and has collaborated on award-winning films, documentaries, music videos, and commercials. For Samir, every production, big or small, starts with a character-driven story told within its own visual world. His process is to rally the production crew around his initial vision, and then crowdsource the team’s ideas into emotionally authentic visual stories. He works energetically with actors to elicit strong performances, and he keeps his hand in post-production work to ensure the integrity of each story.
